Oliver Heritage Issue #50 Aug/Sept 2012

  • FEATURING: 1950 Oliver 77 Orchard. True orchard models in the Oliver line dated back to the early-1930s when sheet metal was wrapped around the fenders on an 18-28. When the Fleetline orchard was designed, both the operator and the crop were taken into considerations. Feature tractor owner: Don Baiers - Watervliet, MI.
  • 50 Years Ago: The 1962 Full Line. The innovations that were taking place were also evident in the Ag world as equipment became more powerful and modern. Includes information about Oliver tractors, combines, crawlers, hay tools, loaders, and other implements.
  • Cletrac Facts: Cletrac F Series. In 1936, The Cleveland Tractor Company released an all-new model designation. All of the numbered models would now receive letters as model designations. The first letter would be the model number, and the second identified whether it was powered with a gas or diesel engine.
  • The Model 50 Walking Plow: A large plow designed similar in shape and appearance to the H Series.
  • White Motor Corp: The American Series. In 1989, the new White American Series of tractors became a key part of the company's rebranding. Includes information on the Spirit of Oliver, White American 80, and others.
  • Ask the Oliver Mechanic: Question and answer with Larry Harsin.
