  • FEATURING: Oliver 1800 - The ABCs of the A, B, and C. Before the 1800 had a numeric designation, it was labeled the X89. The tractor had been tested on farms for several years when it was announced in mid-1958 the program was cancelled. George Bird, Charles City Plant Manager, persuaded the board to see the X89 in action. Feature tractor owner (1800 A): Dick Hitchens - Oreana, IL.
  • Cletrac Facts: Following the Trail with Cletrac. Richard E. Byrd, better known as Admiral Byrd, made his first expedition to the South Pole in 1928. His second expedition took place between 1933-1935. "The tractor (a Cletrac 40-30) operated successfully in temperatures as low as 65 degrees below zero."
