  • FEATURING: Oliver 2055. The 2055 used the 6-cylinder MM engine delivering 110 horsepower. Since this was the MM 1050, which was basically a G1000, the Nebraska Tractor Test for this model was covered in the G1000 testing. Feature tractor owner: Adam Wagner - Huntingburg, IN.
  • Hart-Parr Highlights: 100 Years Ago. The year was 1923. The US was just coming out of a recession that had left many businesses at low times. Hart-Parr was no exception, as they were left with low production and inventory that wasn’t moving. But, hang on, because the roaring twenties were just around the corner.
  • Cletrac Facts: The General Full View and Avery Equipment. The Cleveland Tractor Company had built crawler tractors exclusively since 1916, except for a brief time of building the steel-wheeled General tractor from 1928 to 1931.
  • Oliver Dealer Memories: Central Illinois.  What if we could travel back to 1960 and visit an Oliver dealership? By 1960 standards, our surrounding Oliver dealers seemed so far away, but the fact was we were fortunate to have so many. Our nearest Oliver dealers included Weber Farm Equipment in rural Lexington, Lienharts in Maroa, and Nichols & Geske in Heyworth.
  • Another Oliver User: Revisiting the Streich Family Farm.
  • Collector's Corner: Progress in Tractor Power.  There are thousands of pieces of collectible paper in the Oliver world. Having one variation of a piece is enough for some, but if you’re a diehard collector, you want to collect EVERY variation.
  • Building Fences: When we visited Jim and Joann Sypnieski back in 2018, they had collected a nice lineup of Oliver and White tractors. Jim was also featured on the History Channel’s TV show, American Pickers, that same year. This article goes a step further as we feature the next generation of a farm family whose love of Olivers and farm life continues to run deep.
  • PTO Conversion: There was little regulation in the early days of tractor manufacture. Different manufacturers placed drawbars and PTOs wherever they wanted. But, in 1907 the American Society of Agricultural Engineers was formed to help standardize equipment, enabling it to be safer and able to work with other brands of equipment.
