  • FEATURING: Oliver 2050.  Oliver had been holding their own in the race for horsepower since the introduction of the GM-powered Super 99. In the late-1960s, Oliver wanted even more, or they would quickly slip behind. When they reacted, the result was the Oliver 2050 and 2150. Feature tractor owner: Harvey W. Zehr - Urbandale, IA.
  • Oldest Hart-Parr Engine: Years prior to the mass production of what would be called a “tractor,” the roots of Hart-Parr began to grow with a simple gasoline engine. Those roots run deep, and one of the earliest engines in existence has been well maintained and is in the hands of a Hart family member.
  • Updating your Oliver 770: When Oliver added the 1800 and 1900 to the lineup, the checkerboard (or egg crate) grill was a departure from the rest of the lineup of 3-digit models. Suddenly, the older models looked outdated. Oliver had a solution for part of that, and it could probably cause some confusion in the collecting world today. Here’s what happened in Oliver’s own words.
  • Another Oliver User: Ralph Miller.  “For me, collecting Olivers and Whites is a hobby,” said Ralph Miller of Medina, Minnesota. “I’m a mechanic by trade but growing up on the farm is where my roots are.
  • White Moments: In the News. The earliest newsletters for White’s Ag Division came in the form of the White Farm News, which started in 1973.
  • Cletrac Facts: Adventures of Ray B. Davis, aka Tractor Folly Pt 4. H.F. Davis Tractor Company was strictly an Industrial dealer and had held an H.I. (heavy Industrial) dealer classification for many years. When an all-new raft of equipment became available with the Oliver-Cletrac merger, including the Oliver farm and Industrial wheel tractors, they acquired the farm contract at one of their locations.
  • Carlyle FFA:  Carlyle High School typically completes a tractor restoration project in their Advanced Agriculture Machinery class every year. In August of 2019, a local farmer contacted them about a possible tractor he would donate for the FFA chapter to restore – a Super 88 diesel.
  • Ask the Oliver Mechanic: Question and answer with Larry Harsin.
  • Jay Nelson:  Meet Jay Nelson, an average guy who grew up on his family’s 60-cow dairy farm. "When the herd grew and the demands for larger forage harvester power came along, Dad traded up for an Oliver 1850 diesel with a Full Vision cab. We already had a 770 and an 880, so we knew the Oliver tractors had a solid reputation."
