  • FEATURE TRACTOR: John Deere 4240 - More Metal + More Power = Iron Horse. The 4240 was the replacement model for the 4230. While it wasn’t the big tillage tractor for the farm, it was a great choice for medium-duty work. Feature tractor owner: Jim Ludwig - Lanark, IL.
  • Erickson 4WD Tractors: "Ride the Rugged One." In 1957, a farmer in the Erickson neighborhood purchased a new model TR-6 Wagner four-wheel-drive tractor. Shortly thereafter, news spread of the first tractor built by brothers, Douglass and Maurice Steiger of Red Lake Falls, MN. These tractors sparked an idea in young Roger Erickson's mind, and he eventually set about to build his own tractor.
  • Farmhand: The Long Line of a Short Line. With a long legacy behind it, and a product line that was not short, the Farmhand name remains in the minds of every hay farmer or livestock operation in the country.
  • The First Turbo: The first in every color of full-line companies. They never remember who was second, but they always remember who was first. Read about the Allis-Chalmers D 19, Ford 9000, John Deere 4520, Farmall 1206, and others manufacturers who changed the game with their turbocharged models.
  • A MAGNUM With a Little Too Much FORCE: Don Rohl's 7120. In 1987, Case IH introduced the 7100 series Magnum - the tractor that started a renaissance in the farm equipment industry.
  • Cockshutt 1350: A Yellow Tractor in the Big Red Line. During the mid-1960s and early-1970s, the lineup of equipment under the White Motors flag was all over the place. The rainbow of tractors included green, yellow, and red, and the crossover of equipment intertwined between all. While Oliver had been the primary source of tractors for Cockshutt during the 1960s, a yellow tractor got mixed in the lineup for a short time.
  • Mini Muscle: The Draeger Sisters.
  • History Vault: The Ag scene from 40, 50, and 60 years ago.
